In this interview, Heather Lill from Project Sleep explains the Project Sleep Helpline, a free national resource that helps people and clinicians navigate sleep health questions and sleep disorders by phone, email, or web form. Project Sleep is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on sleep health, sleep equity, and sleep disorder awareness through programs, advocacy training, and resources. Heather describes how the helpline supports anyone at any stage of the diagnostic journey by providing evidence-based information, connecting callers to treatment options, sleep physicians, CBT-I and behavioral sleep medicine directories, patient organizations, support groups, and local resources—especially for those facing barriers to care such as being uninsured or underinsured. She explains follow-up and tracking through a CRM, scope boundaries (not providing medical advice).
